can't people protect their computers from viruses?

I for one don't open up attachments period...not even from my family.

But in the past two days I have received from 2 different buyers on eBay, emails with the W32@bamm virus.

I've been scanning my computer for two days straight to make sure nothing was infected.

If people would just know not to open up any attachments this shit would stop.

Because it's not only from attachments..it can also come from activeX & javascript as well as FTP and downloading!

Yes but it is the most common way these viruses are spread especially among these dumb newbie fucks who love to forward attachments that were forwarded to them by their friends that were forwarded to those friends by their friends until they finally get bit in the ass by opening up the wrong one.

thats why I always tell everyone that if it is absolutely necesarry that they must send me an attachment, I tell the to send it to my hotmail account..Hotmail automatically scans all email for viruses & deletes infected files..But you're right..that is the #1 cause!

I hear your frustration but if it wasn't for dumb newbies we would all be out of work.

And yeah Spacedog...I may go back to using my hotmail accounts with my eBay sales...I keep my virus software updated and they caught both emails...even though I knew what they were right away.
Hell I didn't think one of my customers was sending me nude pics of his or herself...LOL

I always wanted to post some items to ebay, but no cc's or ck acct!

You don't need a credit card or checking account.

You can have your identity verified through equifax online for like $5.00 and then you can send in a money order pre-paying your listing costs for the month.

Once you max that money order out they allow you to spend a bit more before they put a cap on it and ask that you send another one in.

That'll work...However, Equifax is a credit reporting agency & I owe HUGE debts, therefore, would not want to give them updated contact info!

According to eBay this is not supposed to be a credit report...however I can see where if you gave equifax updated info that might put you in a bind.

They only charge for options like bold, featured category. But a basic listing is free.

And then there's Bidville: http://www.bidville.com they are free too.

The only problem with these sites is they don't have a whole lot of traffic but you can still make a little cash there or find real good deals.

eBay's my bread and butter in the online auction game. With up to 25 million subscribers you have a lot of traffic there to pull from.

Just recently started out on Ebay and I can't belive I have gone this long without using it to my advantage. It doesn't make m rich but it does fill in the gaps for the month.

The UK version of Ebay is really starting to fly. We have another one too called qxl.com which is like Ebay and UK based but as you said it doesn' have as much traffic.
