    Ford Taurus to be discontinued?

    I didn't know that. I went to the dealership today to check one out and they only had one... because they're being replaced with the Ford Fusion.

    Why couldn't they scrap something truly ugly like the Focus??

                          The truth is, I was there to see the "Five Hundred"... but with "small family" in mind as I'm expecting my first baby. So the dealer brought up the "Fusion" as a family car, as it's expected to replace the Taurus next year, and is substantially better in quality... or at least, they say. It's not released yet, so it remains to be seen.

                                              Between me and my girlfriend we've owned 3 older tauruses (90-93 range). Heres the breakdown: 2 bad headgaskets, and if you do a little digging, Ford had major reliability problems with the transmissions. I still have one with almost 140k and I'm sure its gonna die soon.

                                              New to GFY and still poor, cmon guys rub off on me or something

                                                      No shit. Of all the shitty FORDS someone could buy, the TAURUS is one of the worst. Especially living in Ontario dude, you've seen those rust buckets cruising the QEW and 403. Guess what, 75% of them are FORDS, and lots of 'em Taurus'. Anyway, to each his own.
