Good Audio Cards
Need to replace one of my audio cards (used for broadcasting voice over WM), but I haven't shopped them in ages. What sound cards you use/recommend?
|
Anyone, anyone? Bueller, Bueller?
|
soundblaster?
|
no recommendations?
|
Every MB on the planet now has an integrated sound card. I don't remember the last time I had to buy one.

What KRL posted + gigaworks 7.1 = free chair massager
edit: I have the one with the external hub though. Works just as good. :thumbsup |
I had the audigy awhile back its just a bunch of junk.. A good SB Live works fine and has good outputs if needed.

The Audigy Platinum is fantastic, not the least because it has extra inputs for guitars and midi.
If you want to go a number lower (= cheaper), try the Audigy 2 (http://www.soundblaster.com/products/audigy2/ ) Still 24 bit and everything an audiophile wants, just less inputs. It will also fit in your system if you only have one PCI slot available. The Platinum edition required three slots I believe. |
I got an Audigy 2 ZS (card only) and it beat the hell out of my SBLive 5.1! you really can hear the difference... well, I got a set of Klipsch too

thx for the feedback. :thumbsup
