how long has it been since theres been a good album...

...with more than just 2 good singles on it?

no wonder we would all rather just keep downloading singles, all of these albums over the last couple of years are garbage. lol, there used to be a B side on cassettes, but now its like the whole album is a B side with only 2 good tracks.

:(

Can't think of any. Too many one hit wonders coming out now.

I think jay-z's albums are all top notch. Not a song on any of his albums that I dont like.

Jakke PNG 02-12-2005 02:02 PM

I kinda like Interpol 'antics' album as a whole as well as 'Franz Ferdinand' and 'Maroon 5' albums.

Tala 02-12-2005 02:05 PM

Operation: Mindcrime 2 is about to come out. Queensryche is "finishing the story" as it were. From what I've seen, it's going to be an incredible CD.

i dont really agree, i think he's one of the better rappers in the game but hes also put out a lot of crap too. that "its a hardknock life" track annoyed the hell out of me and theres a few tracks i've heard from him that were just so off beat that i couldnt stand.

otherwise, his black album i liked, so i cant really complain about it too much

you're listenting to the wrong music. there's been alot of great albumns released lately from bands like social d, green day, and strung out. joe strummer and the mescaleros, and johnny cash.

unfortunately the altter won't be recording anymore. :(

RIP joe strummer and johnny cash.

Spunky 02-12-2005 02:34 PM

Greenday's latest is pretty good

you wont find good music on the radio or television.

the problem with music today is people think that because its on the radio or something they should buy it,... in fact, the opposite is true. music today is such a chemical process its scary. everything, fads, genres, styles are pre-tested on markets and sales have been evaluated since the profits of The Beatles.

purchase the book "The Business Of Music" -its an eye opener.

I can name hundreds of good albums that have come out recently, but most of you wouldnt like it, nor have heard the bands.

check the latest

i was here two nights ago.

For me, the last full album I really enjoy would probably be Godsmack's Faceless. Though a lot of the smaller metal bands really have some great stuff, just can't think of any full albums I'm really into.

We could also go way back to the mid 90's and say Tool's Aenima. One of the few albums I could easily listen to time and time again while rocking out harder and harder with every album spin.

Music is a lost cause if you try to cling to to the mainstream commercial ventures we grew used to (radio, music on TV. and clubs without a dedication).

You are better off superniching your eartime with launch.com or whatever other internet streams and legal/illegal downloads you find match your interests and of course any clubs in your area that play anything you remotely like:thumbsup

I'm seeing Lamb of God in April. I love metal, but unfortunately my friends don't, so I really don't see many shows or hear of new stuff unless my brother tells me, and I really don't talk to him much.

Cool. I carted the 9th edition. I'll let you know how it pans out. I have about 60-90 days of books ahead of it still.
