search for CWShredder and make sure you're using Adaware SE, it catches alot of shit that the other version doesnt

I scheduled Norton to run a full system scan Mon, early am. I also scheduled Spybot Search and Destroy to run Thurs and Sun, early am. Has worked well for me

tungsten and DVD316 are onto the right stuff!

For months, I had a ton of things I couldn't get rid of and finally had a tech come in. He deleted several of the pop-up/adware blockers that I had tried and told me that many of them actually installed their own software.

In the end, I was left w/ Norton, Spybot Search & Destroy, and CWShredder... an my computer hasn't been better since the day I bought it

Some of the sponsors in our network have tours that send you into pop-up hell, and I would get so annoyed at the downtime they would cause me... not to mention the fact that ads for porn sites would pop up at inconvenient moments.

I'm very happy w/ the current set up!!

Right on ... for spyware, spydoctor is pretty good.

So , riun antivirus and spyware too;. Delete and clean all you can.
Desactivate " Restore" in Xp.
Restart in safe mode.
Rerun both programs and clean what they find.
Reboot in normal mode, and re-activate the Restore function

DONE!

Also, what is the best antivirus in your opinion? We use the Trendmicro one (PC-cillin Internet Security 2005) but she still gets a trojan from time to time, since she uses IE instead of Firefox. (I don't get them since I use Firefox, which is a heck of a lot safer than IE)
