I cursed myself with TRILLIAN - HELP!!

    I cursed myself with TRILLIAN - HELP!!

    About 2 weeks ago I was ranting and raving how Trillian has always worked a charm for me. Bozo that I am, I decide to install the NEW version. What does it do? It ends up taking all my UINs & 'MERGE' them causing it to ask for authorization from about 200 people every damn time I open it up. Baddog advised me of it & I tried deleting all of these 'merged' contacts but that works for the time I'm online - so help me God my connection burps cuz everyone gets another friggen request when my connection connects again.

    I don't like bothering people & worst, to think that I'm trying to spam them.

    Please someone help me!!!!!!

      uninstall it. go to oldversion.com (or olderversions.com forget what 1) and reinstall

                      I am on pro 2.012 havent had any problems yet. worst that happened before is it removed the nicks from names and i had to retype in hundreds of nicks into it.

                          im owned too. it used to be my favorite app. v3.0 sucks

                          i paid for it too. their support is good, but this version is real buggy. i hate it.

                                                          I never had problems with V.2 - over 500 contacts - loads of history - WTF made me 'upgrade' to this frucked up stuff is beyond me.

                                                          I couldn't restore it back - so I need to make sure I don't screw myself over with putting back the old version & making things way more complicated with myself.

                                                          A1R3K - yeah, sucks to own the copy that owned us both (I should ask for a refund ) Damn me!

                                                              3.0 pro sucks ass hardcore. Goodluck getting all your uins to display back the nick instead of #. Ive read all the shit about the server polling ever so often, setting no display for a uin etc... none work.

                                                                  did you remember to backup your contact list file before upgrading? if so, just uninstall v3 and put v2 back on and drop the contacts archive in there.

                                                                      i'm using 2.012 pro right now and plan to NEVER upgrade. I just wish they would release a patch for v2 users to get back on yahoo messenger's network though.

                                                                          triliian pro v3 is really bulky, takes 5 mins to load when I boot up. It totally clogs up my system... Gaim nice and quick but I can't even get the contacts to toggle there

                                                                              Trillian ate my database. Never used it again. I know that doesn't help you; but, I felt compelled to say this. I am psychically damaged as a result and I'm trying to gain closure.

                                                                              I hope you get it solved...I know it sucks to have yahoo, aim and icq running separately; but, at least now I still have all my contacts....she said, crossing her fingers and hoping the message gods don't hear or react.
