What to do with older galleries???
 

Hello,

What do you guys do with galleries that you have on your server for over a year or more? Its not a good ideat to keep very old ones online forever is it? After a while you get those bastards that just hotlink to the MPEG files and suck your bandwidth anyways. On the other hand you have the galleries listed in archives on sites all over the place.

Do you just delete the movie files and leave the html and all the gallery graphics online?

What is the correct way? Something like this:

I still get traffic to galleries 4 or 5 years old. Definitely dont delete :-)

you can't do that with .htaccess just ask your host to setup protection for it....

The traffic is all from archives and most if not all of those people aren't going to buy anyway. At least I have almost never seen a sale.

Well but you could problably end up banned @ some places if you play with them...

Keep em up forever.. Nice when you still get sales from 2-3year old galleries each and other day. And now and then some tgp spider gets your gallery and you're listed on a site again.

I got a sale last night on a gallery that I ran through Russian Submitter almost a year and a half ago.

Well, its too late now because I don't have them to re-upload. From now on I'll just protect them and keep them online :)

Exactly. Never delete them.

My pages pop up in the strangest places.

Now I feel badly about deleting them, I'll never do it again :)
