Any time you have a man saying "We think they have weapons of mass destruction, and if they don't give them to us, we'll attack."

Well, let's analyze this... we "think" they have them... so you're not sure. So you demand they show them or else you'll attack. Well, what if they don't have them... then what? Attack because they never showed them to you?

It's a no win scenario for them... as it was with Iraq. They couldn't give up any WMD's so the US attacked.... well, of course they didn't give up any, they didn't have any. If they did give up any... the US would have attacked once it had proof.

The problem here with Iran is not WMD or nuclear missles. They have the right to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes - no one disputes this. The problem here is that surrounding nations MUST have the right to inspect them to make sure they are "up to code", working properly, and to ensure that Iran is doing everything properly so that no accident takes place. The fallout form an "accident" can cause damage world wide.

And Iran won't let anyone inspect them.

If the guy next door to me is doing something in his garage that can screw up my lawn, fuck up the water in my pool and make my drinking water useless, I have the right to know.

What would happened if a nuclear accident was to go off in Iran? What about our troops in Irag? How would it effect Russia, Europe, and crops in North Dakota?

Anyone remember the damage and the scares Europe had when Russia had it's accident?

I think that agencies who inspect such things should have the right to inspect them in Iran. But Iran has this closed door policy. I also don't think it's worth going to war for.

Wait until the surrounding countries need help because of an accident or worst yet one of these countries decides to use one of these nukes in a malicious way. Let them deal with it themselves.

The big issue here once he's out of office these problems he created are going to haunt generations across the globe. The United States is only 229 years old as a country, the countries that we are messing with are FAR older and stood many obstacles in their very survival over the ages.

The United States hasnt really seen a serious threat on our soil 193 years with the war of 1812.

The US govt wants to unite people, spread freedom and democracy all over the world and that seems to be the Jihad of Bush, not of the world's people from what it looks like. The US is coming across as an arrogant bully that is asking to have all the other kids gang up and kick its ass into the dirt.

As an US Citizen I hate the thought of being hated worldwide thanks to the polices of a group that clearly has no interest in my pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.

China only has a 5 million man army not 100 million.

The USA buys 80% of China's shit so backing Iran wouldn't be
their first choice.

China would be more interested in protecting their own borders
and keeping the nut job 150 Million Muslems in check that live
in China right now.

Iran's crazy ass Gov't rules by being hard line so they have to
act this way just like Saddam had to.

Iran signed agreemenents to not make nukes and they are
breaking the agreement just like North Korea has. The issue isn't
should they be allowed to make the nuke but should they be held
to their agreements?
