Appearently Predators are controlled remotly from Nellis Air force Base in Nevada.

Woa, thats pretty good shit!

Now all they need are a few thousand of those and we never need to worry about another dead pilot. :)

For a 50 caliber gun to be effective on this kind of craft, you would need a whole lot of ammo which would add to weight issues, the missiles they carry are extremely effective and precise.

Trust me when I tell you the AGM-114 Hellfire missile system on the RQ-1 is the best weapon deployment system for the package, mounting a Browning .50 would waste practical space onboard for satellite communications, optics, and most importantly, fuel.

We have the CIA to thank for this, and for the most part are the ones running the armed fleet of drones. Leave the close air support to the A-10 Warthogs! :thumbsup

DOn't get me started on military weaponry!
These drones are probably just the beginning.
There are other types of ground based weapons to that are remote controlled as well.
I saw an artical the other day but basically they use the remote ground vehicles for sniping and taking out roadside bombs etc.
The things can snipe you easily from a 1/4 mile away.
