Which Could You Give Up ? Music or TV ???

If you had to give up one for the next 5 years, which would it be.

And no, you can't say music, then have MTV and other music related channels (not that mtv plays much music). No music means NO music...

:pimp

freeadultcontent 02-08-2005 04:59 PM

Music, as long as that does not include the dramatic scores and such during say a movie.

sonofsam 02-08-2005 05:02 PM

i would give up TV ... who the fuck needs TV when you have a computer... but music? how the hell can you live without music? life would be BORING

Deepai 02-08-2005 05:03 PM

Thats easy, I'd throw the TV out the window before even thinking about giving up music.

Ironhorse 02-08-2005 05:03 PM

Dina_C9 02-08-2005 06:26 PM

tv, cause music is way more important in life

Kevsh 02-08-2005 06:45 PM

If you asked me to name the top 10 most viewed shows on television I may correctly guess 2 of them ... and have never seen any of them (nor any of the top 30).

In the words of noted philosopher Val Kilmer: "TV is the anti-christ."

I think my answer is pretty easy to guess.

nico-t 02-08-2005 06:48 PM

like em both but i use pc with alotta music the most so the tv would get out.

videopass-chick 02-08-2005 06:49 PM

SmutGiant 02-09-2005 03:11 AM

TV for sure!!! Never watch it anyways, get everything online.

Jakke PNG 02-09-2005 03:15 AM

I've almost already given up tv.. it definately would not be a tough choice.
Life without music would be worthless.

Drake 02-09-2005 03:46 AM

Already given up TV for 2+ years now. With a computer you can stay abreast of most things that are on TV. I need music though.

TV wouldn't be hard at all.

Sarah_Jayne 02-09-2005 04:54 AM

What he said... indeed!

TV is non-artistic, purely commercial, c-r-a-p basically.

Furious_Male 02-09-2005 08:51 AM

The cool thing is to hate on TV but I like the simple mindless enjoyment. It breaks up the day for me. I will be uncool and say music. I like my TV.

mardigras 02-09-2005 08:51 AM

15-20 years ago I couldn't have imagined my life without music. But the crap they are trying to pass off as music these days keeps my car radio on AM talk/news 99% of the time and I don't even have an antenna attatched to the stereo in the house. I do listen to online music sometimes, with an emphasis on old favorites.

On the otherhand I have a TV hooked up to a variety of equipment and get 2000+ channels so I never have the problem of only junk to watch.

So the answer to the question is I haven't missed music the past 5 years... I wouldn't miss it the next. You can have the remotes for my satellites the day you pry them from my dead cold fingers:upsidedow

JustJen 02-09-2005 08:53 AM

I could give up TV before music. Something about music that makes you feel better, while TV makes you feel like a bump on a log.

TV for the masses is that, but I consider my mpeg receiver the TV equivelent of the internet. If there is news or an event going on that I'm interested in I can see unedited footage or coverage not available on my local cable or DishNet/DTV. Seeing the news from other countries gives a much better understanding of the entire story, entertainment from other countries is often fascinating. There's thousands of signals whizzing over your head at this very moment and not all of them are non-artistic, purely commercial, c-r-a-p :upsidedow New stuff pops up all the time and much of it is unscrambled, just waiting for you to tap into it:thumbsup
