SE question about directories and sub directories
 

What would be the downside of taking a directory (from Overture) and creating unique pages from what information from Overture gives and linking them to the main subject of that said category?

Example
Taking the widgets directory and creating unique pages for all of the subdirectories of widgets
red widgets
big red widgets
big red widgets with holes
Then linking the subdirectories back to an index of widgets?

Besides the time consuming aspect what else should I look out for? I have a basic template but each page as of right now has a unique title, meta, h1 tags and text (at least 200 words per page)
