alexa - any idea why 2 of my domains have the exact same ranking?
by exact, i mean *exact*. does this happen frequently?
|
Both domains are probably pointing/being forwarded to the same location.
For instance if I own domain1.com, domain2.com, and domain3.com - and send them to "AwesomeSearch.com", all # domains will receive same traffic ranking as AwesomeSearch. |
hmm. here are the domains:
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/tr...ltra-skin.com/ http://www.alexa.com/data/details/tr...tra-babes.com/ seems kind of weird, but yes most of the traffic goes to a single site... |
Alexa is mapping to the same url, in this case ultra-skin.com.
If you click the 2nd url you posted (the ultra-babes.com one), you'll see the stats are really for ultra-skin.com. WG |

Alexa is virtually worthless.

Your 1,173 beats my 7,208. :(

Alexa is exactly what it is: a ranking of sites visited by people who use the Alexa toolbar. |

I don't think Alexa.com posts here

I mean if have a < 5k Alexa ranked site, I won't oppose it. However at the same time if my site is 500k+ site, I won't lose any sleep whatsoever. It's just one of those things that have minimal importance (to me, at least). |
