Well to truly enjoy Costa Rica, I would say tour the country, go from beach to beach until you make your way around....the more you see the more you should enjoy it :)

For dealing with people, depending on the area it's not recommended to carry valuables or laptops around...that should go without saying though. If you can pickup (or already know) some Spanish, that will be a massive asset...if not it's very easy to learn though, I didn't know it before moving here and know am quite fluent.

Hey Sammy,

Feel free to hit me up if you guys have any questions, or if you want to hang out with the IwantU crew for some rafting or other activities when you and Brett come down.

I think you'll like it a lot more than cancun, I know we definately do =)

DWB 02-07-2005 10:05 PM

Is property still cheap down there or did it go up? I was looking a few years ago.

BradShaw 02-07-2005 10:08 PM

I will be in Costa Rica in the next few months. That looks bad ass.

Depends on the area, but pretty much everywhere here is on the rise...it's been climbing every year for atleast the past 5 years!

Are you coming down to look at it as an outsourcing option still, or just for fun ?

Sounds good. Brett has you on ICQ, I will make sure he lets you know exactly when we are coming down. Not sure how long we are staying but I would love to do some hiking, rafting and of course some partying. :winkwink:

Ah!! Everyone else has travelled eastbound apart from me! :-) Tho gonna do a trip with a friend there shortly and doing a jungle "eco extreme" thing and take some pics on the way.

I spend time half and half between Escazu and Nicoya. You in San Jose Varius?

For webmasters here.. here's the beach on Nicoya (Pacific coast)..

And here's some more pics - forget what they all are, but mainly around or on some land we bought. BTW... The waterfall in the pics is hidden on our land - in the middle of primary forest - and is bigger than the supposedly biggest tourist one in CR at about 450-500 feet.
