Why don't they allow one and two letter domains to be registered?
|
If you had something worth thousands of dollars would you sell it for $7.95 ? :winkwink:

are there really many out there, I know x.com still is, but I thought the registrar people pretty much put them into nomans land when/if they came up as available.
|
one letter domains have never dropped
2 letter domains you can register, but non are avalable. you can buy them of course |
Hmm.. actually i don't think you can.
As far as i remember if 1 and 2 letter, and some special word domains drop they are not released for reregistering.. Something about Icann wanting to keep them for extra tlds lik .uk.com or something like that.. don't remember the full reason, but it was something like that.. So if you got a 1 or 2 letter domain you better be damn sure to pay that renewal :) |
x.com = paypal.com
aa = american airliens xe = currency exchange I saw pp.com for sale at namepros i think |
i swear i saw go.com on deleted domains and went to register.com and indeed it looked like i could register it but since all my domains were at godaddy (they won't register 2 digit domains) i couldnt register it there.
Note this was when i was a greenhorn and really had no idea that domain could have given me enough money to retire on.... oh well |
