how well does ifriends do for you?

how well do they convert for you? what type of traffic are you sending them?

also, regarding the tiers.. if i do 130 sales a week, do I get $50 for the entire 130 or just the 30 that crossed that tier?

thanks

Babagirls 02-07-2005 02:30 PM

i had to turn them into the BBB back in 2001 for unpaid money, ever since, i havent gone near them.

TheMob 02-07-2005 02:31 PM

really? wow. did you get your money eventually?

Sosa 02-07-2005 02:32 PM

I do good with the little traffic i send them. As long as you send in all the forms to them and don't cheat you will get paid. From my experiences anyways. Hit me up if I can help you out.

icq is 638.778.60

Yngwie 02-07-2005 03:13 PM

back in 2001 I did awesome with Ifriends.. Making $3000 a week with maybe 45 minutes of work per day was easy and all with TGP traffic.. Then 2002 came and 2 of my biggest checks from them bounced. After that, no matter how much traffic I sent I couldn't even make 1 sale. Not sure why all of a sudden the sales died like that.

That's odd. What did they change?

I had something very similar happen.

Sorry guys I missed this tread....

Can you do well with ifriends... sure you can.

The payout works like this:

1 - 10: you make $40 a signup
11 - 50: $45 a signup
51 - 100: $50 a signup
101 - 250 $55 a signup
251 - 750 $60 a signup

the scale keeps going but i doubt there are many people who make more then 750 signups a week.

So if you get say 70 signups a week you make $400 for 1 - 10. $1800 for 11 - 50, and $1,000 for 51 - 70, for a total of $3200 for the week. Not bad for 10 FREE signups a day.

How can iFriends afford to spend that much on free signups? Are the surfers required to spend money on their 'free signup'?

ifriends makes a shit load of cash. I know several chathost who have regulars that drop $1,000+ a week there. Sure some people signup and dont spend money, but it's not like your typical membership site where someoen pays $35 for 3 months and cancels. This is a highend site. People spend 100's a week like it is nothing there. I am sure ifriends has it calculated. They must average at least $75+ plus off of each signup. One of my signups might produce week after week 100's of dollars for them for years and all they paid me was $55 or whatever... it averages out. They make a lot of money. They also have membership billing built in for individual model fan clubs, and upgrades for vip's that bill monthly and their rention rate is 100% better then a regular membership site and the affiliate doesnt make any of the upsell money either... they making it big time.

yngwie, SickKittens.... I've been with them since 2001 as well and while i've noticed some ups and downs it has mostly been due to my traffic changes. Since then they have raised payouts several times, and I am making more now then ever before.

If you ever want to come back and give them a try again I help you and guarantee you that you get top knotch support as well. I have banners and creatives that convert great as well and I have a good idea what will work the best on your sites.

Hmm, I still think 40-80 bucks is a lot to dish out for every single member.

But I'm giving them a try :)

d00t 02-08-2005 04:21 PM

If you have ever signed up to ifriends as a surfer and looked at your cc statement you will quickly understand how clickcash can make easy bling and pay 80 bucks.

Nicky 02-08-2005 04:27 PM

Why do you suppose they did that... they woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day and picked your name out of a hat and terminated you ? All sarcasm aside, did you get busted for spam? Why would they want to lose you as a webmaster and the traffic you were sending. Just to keep your $100? Knowing that you would send them 100's of signups over the futurem but the $100 was worth more to them then all the future signups you would send ?

If you honestly did nothing wrong then email me your account name and I will have them look into it and get you your money.

axelcat 02-08-2005 05:16 PM

Well most people don't hit the $80 range. Hell I only hit the $60 range. Go through the site at any given time, there is over 2000+ solo girls on cam working, and another 1000 or so live from other niches. My rough guess is 20% of the chathost onlive have paying customers in their rooms at all times. The average per minute billing is about $2.50 so 600 x 2.50 is what they are making a minute. thats $1,500 a minute. Thats over 2 million a day. Not counting all the fanclubs and other revenue. Sure they have to pay half to the chathhost, also pay the affiliates, employees, and have massive bandwidth bills. But still, they making bank... (these are my rough calculations, I have no idea how accurate they are).

If you want to signup come check out mysite (see sig), refer me and I will help you as much as i can.

Every man and their dog jumped in and started promoting them. Along with that came all the scammers etc. They got more proactive about canning the cheaters and WMs with crap traffic that doesn't spend the money. Since then the revenue has gone back up... Not as good as it was back in 2001 but decent.. At least that's my experience with them.

Not saying you didn't have a bad check, I heard it happend to some people like 3 years ago, some banking problems they had with transfering money. It happens, but i can assure you that everyone was paid. I have personally never received a bad check so even this instance was isolated. It happens.. but as long as the company makes good, which is what they did, why stop making money with them. It's not like they are on the edge of going out of buisness. They are one of if not the most stable company out there. They have been in business for coming up on 10 years and have paid out more to webmasters then any other company out there. They have probably grossed more then any other company out there. Why make your income suffer because of one little mishap?

If you want some help getting going with them let me know. They have had a lot of enhancements over the last couple of years.

I've stayed pretty steady with them, and actually have gone up over the years. But i am ALWAYS reinventing my pages, my advertising, finding different niches, experimenting with new techniques, etc... got to come up with the next best thing every couple months if you want to keep increasing your income with any sponsor. Keep milking that one nice page you made 3 years ago with the same old traffic and you will watch you sales drop off with any affiliate company (not saying you did this, just a general statement).

Spudstr 02-08-2005 05:52 PM

i had shit results with them, sent the same traffic somewhere else MUCH MUCH better conversions, night and day difference :-/ SE PPC traffic

nastyking 02-08-2005 06:20 PM

No, you didn't.

The Better Business Bureau only facilitates transactions between consumers and businesses. They do not do B2B. If, and I doubt it, they bounced a check, you would have to sue them. Possibly, you might even be able to get your State's Secretary of State, Department of Business involved, but their ability varies wildly between states. Trust me, I've spent some time and money looking into this for iBill's bullshit.

I've been with Clickcash for over four years. They work great for me. I get around 1:250 - 1:500ish depending on the day and season. SE and SEO fetish/niche pages.

Use Will's ref code, he's a good guy and posted first.

David! 02-08-2005 08:37 PM

I usually make one $40 sale a month with them, funny thing is that after reading your post earlier today, I logged on StatsRemote and it showed a new clickcash sale :)

bdld 02-08-2005 08:52 PM

one of the best sponsors in this business, been rocking with them for 3-4 years without a problem.

Your right too about the BBB stuff. The bounced check was made right not because he threatened them with the BBB, but because they fixed the banking error that caused the checks to bounce.
