sweetME 02-07-2005 01:26 PM

house prices are crazy in la

TKoProductions 02-07-2005 01:38 PM

In my neighborhood, $870,000 and up.

The county as a whole, $450,000 and up.

Babagirls 02-07-2005 01:50 PM

Downtown Milwaukee=$90k-$120k is the average

Suburbs (where i live)=they dont start under $200k, and thats just for a 2-bedroom ranch. for an actual house, you're lookin at $300k easily.

Chris 02-07-2005 01:51 PM

110k is adverage arond here

pornguy 02-07-2005 01:54 PM

Depends on what you are looking for here. They go anywhere from 100k to 10mil.

Sosa 02-07-2005 01:56 PM

most houses are 100-150k here. Haven't found anything I like though. There are a couple that are at 400k but that is too much for me right now.

It was a great deal, couldn't pass it up....but that's Southern Arizona for you. They build brand new, huge houses and it costs next to nothing. Our house has already increased in value $20k too. : )

yeah its detroit, if you go into the city more the neighborhood can be really shitty. i live on the border 1 street away from the suburbs so the houses cost a lot more.

JasonB 02-07-2005 02:38 PM

$1.3 Million will buy you a 15 year old fixer-upper here in Maui.
$800k will get you a decent 1000sqft condo.

BradShaw 02-07-2005 02:39 PM

Nice house in Dallas, $250-300k. Mansion, $1million and up.

BergyK 02-07-2005 04:15 PM

You can't buy a fucking descent house from here for around $500K. Isn't that sad. I guess got to move to Iowa or Idaho :(

paxton 02-07-2005 04:20 PM

Suburban Portland west hills, $490,000 for 3000 sq ft, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 3 car garage, 2 stories, + upgrades (granite, hardwood, wetbar, jacuzzi).

Same house in California I am told would be easily six figures.

:upsidedow

so true, house prices are idiotic here.

latinasojourn 02-07-2005 04:52 PM

well, IF your business is web marketing, and IF you have good connectivity, the world is your oyster.

there are places in the world where you can own property for a few hundred thousand that would cost 10-20 million in california.

and the sun shines and sets, just like it does in the good 'ol USA :)

quiet 02-07-2005 06:22 PM

a small house here will cost you a minimum of a couple million. a nice condo you're looking at 1 M absolute minimum.

Condos: Average price $1.2 million

Townhouses: Average price $4.5 million

Fully detached houses: No such thing.

toddler 02-08-2005 12:58 AM

I paid $315k for 1200 sq ft in SD. And I got a fucking raging deal.

xclusive 02-08-2005 12:58 AM

you can't get anything for under 300k these days and in the next town over it's even worse seen some 2 bedrooms for 800k

rickholio 02-08-2005 01:45 AM

The wife and I are planning on building a home ourselves soon, hopefully to move into by the summer. Around here, the rule of thumb is $120 per sq.ft.

Morgan 02-08-2005 01:54 AM

Hilarious, my house is 1,400 sq. ft. and is worth 1.1 million here in Newport Beach. My lot is just shy of 10k sq. ft. :rasta
