Never done it, but I guess I would not do so, at least not at the present moment... I believe that few people have nice computers that run flash sites nicely, so I'd stick with conventional sites.

I'd only promote a flash website if I knew my traffic has flash in their computers. A script could do this detection and send the surfers to the flash site, or to some conventional site if the visitor doesn't have it installed, but it's way too much work! lol

i think the whole paysite in flash is gonna hurt your conversions,,, it is still fairly slow for dial up surfers,,

maybe a portion being in flash,, like having a movie table or something

Small parts like buttons could be done with flash to make them look better but not a whole site. It would load too slow for modem users.

I'm willing to bet... over 50% of the surfers that find your site will click out as soon as flash starts loading... not only that... search engines do not follow flash navigation as far as indexing your site.

I like flash sites, BUT only if it doesn't have too much fuzz and buzz if you know what I mean. Some flash based sites just have too much that I get a headache from all that stuff happening on my screen when I click a link. (an example is http://www.isprime.com/ ... drives me nuts http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/biggrin.gif )

btw, when I enter a site and they let me choose the html or flash version, I always take the html (I'm on cable, so speed isn't a reason why I shouldn't take the flash version).

If you plan to make a flash site, I'd recommend to not use every fancy detail you know but keep it professional and easy to navigate.

I like flash sites but i'm not sure flash would work for an adult paysite. Flash banners are cool though and can be made small in file size for fast loading. Off topic a bit, what do you guys think of this site http://mdnamedia.com/ ? It's a friends and it's not finished yet but I think it looks good. There are I few things that I would change though.

Full flash would eliminate about 30% of potential clientelle - use both if possible.

Yep you would loose 50% + of surfers they would just hit there back button. Then if you don't check the page with Netscape you'll loose another 15 to 20% of the surfers, so now your down to about 35% of the market, but you'd have a pretty and fancy web page.

Sure a hybrid flash design would look nice, 60% html and 40 flash.
