Definately no chances for a wardrobe malfunction in that performance.

Digipimp 02-06-2005 06:34 PM

half time shows are usually garbage and that one definitely was.

TurboAngel 02-06-2005 06:34 PM

I thought it was good, I was raised hearing the Beatle's.

Digipimp 02-06-2005 06:37 PM

sure he's a big name and music legend or whatever, so pay to see him in concert, not at the superbowl. that was pure garbage but great for the nazi censor crowd that were all spanking their hookers and getting coked up at half time.

I was thinking the same thing. Bet Ameriquest couldn't afford that much. Would have been twice the overhead. Ringo don't come cheap.

Jehovah's Witnesses has more fun when 3 of them get together to pray than that halftime show was this year.

pussyluver 02-06-2005 06:54 PM

I'm the oldest and the half time show sucked bad. Add Elton John, Eric Clapton with Paul and maybe. Then some dancers... Needed a little more excitement.

Fuck the FCC. Someone send those MOFOs a copy of the Bill of Rights. Sex sells if you didn't notice. Get upset over a few :waaaaahh :waaaaahh do-gooders. Like none of those in the administration aren't into porn.

Done with rant.

seeric 02-06-2005 07:12 PM

dope show. i liked it.

quiet 02-06-2005 07:42 PM

easily the best half time show i've ever seen. the beatles simply rule, even their ghosts.

MikeXAMO 02-06-2005 07:44 PM

I liked the half-time show. sure it was more mellow and more appreciated by the older folks, I think it was a great show.

Dina_C9 02-06-2005 09:16 PM

I can't believe he did it. What, he needs more money?
Give somebody else a chance you old fart.
Relying on your Beatles stuff? Loser.

The Sultan Of Smut 02-06-2005 10:20 PM

I didn't watch it, halftime shows usually suck.

thefool 02-06-2005 10:25 PM

I didnt even waste my time watching the game or the 1/2 time show or commercials, i dont like the patriots, and I loathe the Eagles... I'd rather have a root canal than to have to root for one of them to win... was hoping it was a 0-0 game and they both lost. :winkwink:

Do you have any idea who wrote the songs for the Beatles?

AVM 02-06-2005 10:50 PM

Paul was amazing, great half time show.

Although - the song selection could have been better. He has some jams, that put 'drive my car' and 'get back' to shame. Both are great songs don't get me wrong, just would prefer some Abbey Road/The Beatles (WHITE) material. Then again it's hard picking a good 'live' song, without John. Limits the amount of songs you can do.

Oh well, good performance in my opinion. :thumbsup

axelcat 02-06-2005 10:52 PM

Im not a beatles fan

vivency-AdamQ 02-06-2005 10:52 PM

Babagirls 02-06-2005 11:00 PM

i feel asleep during the half time show, last thing i remember seeing was "Live & Let Die" then i passed out lol

Ian 02-06-2005 11:07 PM

The Beatles and Elvis Presley changed the known rock and roll world.

Too bad the people here either aren't old enough or intelligent enough to realize it.

You're loss.

BradM 02-06-2005 11:09 PM

I loved it. I sang along to the songs even though I didn't know all the words. :)

gh0st 02-06-2005 11:10 PM

I absolutely hated it, Fuck the beatles, I'd rather see Janet's old weird looking nipples..

lol

Spunky 02-06-2005 11:13 PM

DWB 02-07-2005 02:12 AM

I didn't watch it. Please tell me Paul did not do some of the old songs for the half time show? *shakes head*

I'm a huge fan but come on... Not for the superbowl.

slipkid 02-07-2005 02:18 AM

If he got on there and didn't play the standards everyone would want to hear then people would be bitching more.

He is touring still..he headlined the huge Glastonbury music event in the UK last year. Sometimes when you are a performer you just want to perform. Relying on Beatles stuff? He only had a few song slots to fill. When you see him live (which I have) he does a wide range of material and as best as I could judge didn't play a single song he didn't write. Other artists wish they had the back catalog he does to leave out the songs he rejected.

From what I could tell he was singing live too...nice to see that.

suesheboy 02-07-2005 06:22 AM

Some of you guys are nuts. He has been kicking as for more than 35 years.

Observing 02-07-2005 06:58 AM

Thought the guy rocked and put on one of the best half time performances ever, go Paul :thumbsup
