ev1 - barebones and cheap and well, what more do you want?

fris 02-06-2005 01:21 PM

namecheap

MikeXAMO 02-06-2005 01:24 PM

I buy them out of a van downtown from a guy named Juan. I get them at killer prices, and sometimes he'll throw in a free watch or a russian programmer.

I know a guy who knows a guy who can "whack" the owner of your favorite domain name too, and transfer it to you for a steal of a price. Talk to Juicy for more details.

pubenemy 02-06-2005 01:56 PM

Depends on who's doing deals at the moment and where I've got credits. Godaddy, Namecheap, Enom, Domainsite and there's always my personal favorite [PENNYWISEDOMAINS.COM] :winkwink:

RegisterFly.
With all the shit i've heard about GoDaddy and now Directnic I intend to stay as far away from em as possible =/

borked 02-07-2005 03:32 PM

Well I just got a renewal from one of my domains I have with godaddy - $9.20 !! It's 25c over their advertising price, but just the fact that they tried to renew a domain at 9.20 pissed me off enough to transfer the domain to ev1.

My bank has stict instuctions on how much my rebills can be and 1c over that and it gets declined. So fuck you godaddy - had it been 8.95, I'd have paid no attention and the domain would have been renewed with you. Now - tough shit, for your 25c greedeness, it's gone elsewhere.

No other domains will be renewed by you :321GFY

pradaboy 02-07-2005 04:35 PM

Moniker for all my own longterm domains
Enom for domains that are intended for sale
DirectNIC occassionally

Stay away from GoDaddy and RegisterFly if you want any sense of security :2 cents:

$6.49 to be exact, but then it does add another year to the domain, so where's the problem? It's not as if I payed 6.49 to simply transfer the domain..
