hmm, I just found this proggie on some obscure hacking site and that was the description , its just an .exe file that when started opens a dos prompt with the following message

Enter name of file with log:


any one has any idea what this does ? doesnt sound too good

It decrypts passwords from paysites passfiles.. You need to get inside the box to get the files first tho, decrypting is the easiest thing

oh ok, so the proggie itself doesn't do anthing , you will first need some skills to get the file with the passwords

there used to be programs back in the day like crackerjack.. you would load in your wordlist etc and use that program..

mind you this is before they shadowd passwords or anything and to connect to the net u used telnet after dialing in to go onto irc and use ur email via pine :)

It doesn't decrypt passwords. It parses the log so that they are in the standard format of
login:password
so that you can decrypt them with JTR.
