Attention Affiliate Programs: Promoting Phoenix Forum????
Ok, how can i word this simply and get to the point. Cause i am not in the mood of typing a long story here and making it boring for you to read. So.....
I really think its important for everyone ( especially affiliate programs ) to start promoting and thinking of ideas on how to get more people, webmasters, affiliate partners, and friends to these show.... what do you think? What can we do to boost up this industry and take it to the next level? |

Not to take away from your idea, but the Phoenix Forum is doing Real well :thumbsup :thumbsup There is such a thing as being TOO big, takes away from the charm of the event :2 cents:

$50 PPCR (pay per confirmed registrant)
sponsors can make their money back from having people hard-selling time share memberships in the lobby |

I am with you JFK! I love the Phoenix Forum because of it's "Friendly Get Togther" feel. That's what makes it everyone's favorite and for me, most productive show. xoxox, Megan |
Just kidding, imo one of the draws of the forum is its being a ?comfortable? size. It is not a simple task to achieve the right balance between quantity and quality of the attendees, but many webmasters have been pleased with the Phoenix show over the years. There are other shows that one can attend that may measure its success solely by head count, but the forum is not one of them. As always, any suggestions to make the show more successful are always appreciated :)

"quality fun and business " :thumbsup |
I think it would be a great idea for someone to have a " Affiliate Owners Only Luncheon " or something like that as a gathering to discuss business, pros/cons, ideas, etc....basically to help one onther in succeeding....i think this can be a bigger advantage for everyone rather than worring about loosing business to a competitor...there is enough consumer business out there for everyone....
|
Success breeds....
The Phoenix Forum grows every year. How many attended last year? 800 or so? And, the year before it was around 650 or so? So...it's growing.... |
Great ideas count me in for support. I think that was where I met you two years ago heh??

I think maybe organizing a " APO " association meeting would be nice...maybe a 1 hour luncheon and 1 hour discussion ... so 2 hour meeting/lunch.. Yes , i think thats when we met :-) |
This year will be the first time NY_TIM and Myself attend the Phoenix forum .. we alway attend the larger shows and decided to attend a smaller show when the LA show came up. we were surprised at the amount of Business we accomplished and how much more relaxed it was then the Miami and Vegas shows .... that's what made us decide to attend the Phoenix show .... we are really looking forward to seeing everyone in a relaxed environment and sharing ideas ... I think when new comers first get started and decide to attend a show the big ones are the first that come to mind but the smaller shows are the why to go ...I met more people in LA then all 4 of the past Miami and Vegas shows combined ... :thumbsup

I think every affiliate program should e-mail all their affiliate partners to come... |
Not saying that Phoenix isn't a show designed for every facet of this industry, but one of its biggest draws has always been the fact that it is chock full of people who make decisions in their businesses and can get things done. Since there aren't any traditional booths and stuff like that, people tend to either congregate by the pool, by certain areas in the hotel, etc. It's really much more than an opportunity to talk to affiliates, it's an opportunity to talk to people that you normally don't get to sit down with at shows since there is so much other stuff going on.
It's also a show with a limited amount of space available -- there are bigger hotels in Phoenix, yes, but with many of the resorts getting 1500 a night plus during this time of year, there's not really any way to expand it hugely. And moving it to a month later to get good rates generally means you've moved into 100 plus degree weather and it can make for uncomfortable times out of doors for people that aren't used to it. |
