about these cameras here! |
do a search on google for reviews on each of those cameras.

Im very happy with the Rebel. Its reliable, and relatively quick.
www.amaphotocontent.com mostly all shot with Rebel |
It depends on what you want out of the camera really. The rebel is a great camera and so is the 828, but both hit different "niches" if you will. The rebel has some advantages so does the 828... and both have some downfalls. Time to compare the features on each and decide which is most important to you...

if your going for the rebel save a extra 500 and go with the 20d

Thanks!
ok i did my homework, seems like the rebel is a cheap 10/20d? btw it's for shooting an amateur/single girl site. |
I got the rebel and it pretty dope I think
|
I recommend the Nikon D70.
Digital Photo Mag Camera of the Year 2004. Same price range as the Rebel. |
I use a Digital Rebel and I like the fact that it is light and easy to handle with one hand and one finger unlike the bigger Canon cameras which are much heavier. It's all about the lens, light and the composition and focus. As far as I am concerned there is no need for those heavy-ass bodies unless you are going to be taking lots of pics in super-fast (fractions of a second) speed.

rebel sounds more rebelious. Go with that.
|
i think sony 828 is cool

I've used the Rebel a lot - nice piece of equipment. No complaints for what it is.

D70 yessah

I just got the Sony DSC-F828, and im very pleased with it. Im not a pro or anything, but its a great camera. Check out www.dpreview.com
Heres one of the first pics I took with it :) my dog |
i would check http://dpreview.com/ since its a great website, but if i can give you a piece of advise, get the Nikon D70.
|
d70 beats both, however if you are looking for a DC to point and shoot, get the sony.

I have a canon 300 d and it's shit.
The white balance is fucking crap and the exposure settings are very inconsistant. You can take three pictures in the same settings and eack one will be different. When using a flashgun it just does its own fucking thing. There are some good points, such as the speed. It's very quick and the remote trigger is good. But the general picture quality is not what you'd expect on a camera of this price. Have a look on the Canon website at the FAQ and Problem solving page, Most of the questions and problems are with the EOS 300d. And most of the answers or help is fucking useless. I had a Nikon 5700 coolpix before which is a more downmarket camera, but it produced far better pics. I'll go with Nikon again next time and just write off the canon as a loss. |
Forget the Sony, it's all about the glass, stick with camera companies, not electronics companies.
The Rebel is a great camera. The Nikon D70 is in that same price range and on specs alone may be just a smidge better. |
Rebel all the way :thumbsup

Sony does have a great reputation for TVs and consumer electronics, but there are other guys with more experience when it comes to cameras. I have been disappointed with most of the digital photography related Sony products I have used. -Dino |
