XM Radio
 

So I know I am a little behind the technology curve here but today I finally had XM radio installed in my BMW. Other than I totally fucking love it, I would have to say because of the commercial free music and the channel selection in the 200 range; it's worth every cent of the $9.99 a month!!!!

over a hundred dollars a year just to look cool........? Well if guess if you have it ,waste it.

It's a satellite signal; there isn't any aesthetics to it. And yeah, $100 a year is worth it to me. Our Valley is surrounded by mountains on four sides so we get some of the worst radio reception in America and we are 20 minutes from Hollywood, CA.

XM Rocks! I couldnt agree more. Its not only worth the $10 a month, I'd gladly pay double that.

If you're into classic rock, but real classic rock, channel 40 is the greatest music station of all damn time!

I also pay the extra $2 a month for the Opie and Anthony show, but seeing as they've invited me onto the show and still send send me mad sales, I don't mind it! :winkwink:

Seriously though, I'm a very music based person, so to me the invention of satellite radio is way beyond any technical advancements in my lifetime!~LOL

I LOVE IT!! Not entirely sure how it works exactly, but I'm on the beach (in Cancun) and bustin out to Simple Plan (not that I love that anyway) I just like the choice....gunna bust out to GNR if it killls me, or I have to kill them.... ;)

Opie and Anthony is DEFINATELY worth the $2 per month, it's extremely entertaining, I know that many times I laugh my ass off going down the road, ha ha ha.

I think that XM is a wonderful system. Where I live, it's a smaller area and the radio stations SUCK. There's a shitload of country channels, one "Today's hits" channel, 70-80s, one rock channel, but it sucks pretty bad as far as the stuff they play, then there's a few other stupid channels, other than that, that's my radio choice. XM gives me many choices of what to listen to, I'd NEVER go back to regular radio.

80, 81, and 82 are permanently locked in. I live in Denver and the shit rocks. You can drive all the way to Vail and listen to whatever you wish. Shit...... a CD costs me more than 9 fucking dollars and it has 15 songs? Even if I like the CD it'll get old.

FUCK XM, its all about Sirius

I live up by the Canadian border and this far north Sirius is the way to go because of the locations of the satellites.

And we can listen to Howard next January. :thumbsup

Sirius was my other option but since I really didn't have a difference between the two, I just picked XM. XM is still pretty badass!

If you've got a BMW I would think I would rather have just got an iPod and used the BMW iPod hookup and then you'd have everything you want exactly even with playlists. That is unless you like the talk shows they have on satellite which I might myself even.

the really good deal is the second receiver for $5 month more. One for the office bro. and baseball in a few months.

Now that sounds like a plan!!
