Domain buying questions

Hello

I've seen a couple of domains available on sedo which interest me, but I have no idea what I should offer, or how valuable they are. They would really suit one of my projects but I don't think buying them would be very important to the business plan.

Can someone give me a little advice on how much they think they are worth, and how much I should offer? Cheers.

The domains are:

penissecrets.net
penissecrets.org

Thanks

$8.95/each

such average names are worth only that much as you are willing to pay for them

I'm sure there's someone with some domain talent who could offer a little better responsivity there...

I hate domains with two of the same letters next to eachother. Typo waiting to happen.

Thanks, you mean they're average... as in $500? or average as in $100? :Oh crap

polish_aristocrat 02-05-2005 04:33 AM

i mean, honestly, why isnt this obvious to most people?

unless a domain is easily brandable, or gets type in traffic, it is worth nothing, or only that much how someone wants to pay for this

they are average especially since they aren't "dot coms"

and whether $500 or $100 ..well, again it depends only on you

if you are investing $100k into your new project, or if yo are investing $100 into it.... this should determine how much you want to pay for them

anyway, the owner of them can be an idiot trying to sell them for $10k and not a single cent less :1orglaugh

who 02-05-2005 04:36 AM

Well I guess I'll just offer $20 and not worry if it's accepted or not. It's worth more than that to me, but of course I want to pay as little as possible ;)

Thanks for the advice, Polish Aristocrat :)

they are below average. They are .org and .net

Now you know the seller isn't going to give the names away. They wouldn't have bothered listing them for sale if they didn't want to make a little money.

The value of those two names are [zero dollars] to most people.

But, if you find some value in them (and you know how much money you have to spend) then you probably already know what you are willing to pay, so negotiate around that amount.

If they reject your final offer, then you don't need to worry because you weren't willing to go higher anyway. Good luck!

If you're planning on developing it, or unless you also already own penissecrets.com, I think you're better off getting a dot com, or making up a dot com that's still available. penissecrets.net and .org would get virtually no type-in traffic, so I assume you have development in mind. Just make up something up like secretpenistips.com or penislore.com or letstalkpenis.com or secretsofthepenismaster.com or whatever.

I wont sell them for less than $5k each.
