TGP listings thieves

For those of you who run TGP's and spend time reviewing your own galleries instead of stealing them from other webmasters...

You guys seem to be missing the point.

If someone sees a gallery they like or even a few here and there and list them on their sites, that's one thing.

BUT... when someone just copies and pastes an entire list that you reviewed and wrote descriptions for into their own site then that is stealing. A link list that is a quality list of nice thumbnail galleries with clever or even funny descriptions takes a lot of work everyday, and there are lots of thieves out there that are too lazy to do these things for themselves.

interesting stance you have on the validity of TGPs coming from a CCBill person..


is that your official stance?

And if there are recips on the galleries there's more reason to want them stolen.

The only way I'd have a problem with someone listing my galleries on a TGP I didn't post to is if the description was totally unrelated (i.e.; Asian Anal linked to Phat Assed Sistas).

1. "A TGP" used "Some other TGP's" Galleries
2. "A TGP" sending many hits to "Some other TGP's" Galleries
3. "Some other TGP" has Recip on galleries
4. "Some other TGP" starts to get traffic from this galleries, because of recip, and a higher place on SE.
5. "Some other TGP" gets more traffic to his own galleries (ie. first 5 galleries etc.)
6. "A TGP" will never make money from thoose listings, but "Some other TGP" will make some and gain extra traffic!

Well I'm glad 'The Truth' has some intelligence, as for the rest of you, what?

I pay someone to review galleries and make descriptions for them. I place those galleries on my site which generates traffic for my site. Someone else comes along and steals those listings, places them on their site and so reduces the effectiveness of my original links so reducing my traffic. They are also making money off of me because they are so d*mn lazy to do any work themselves.

If you can't understand that then I can draw you some diagrams.

Please do... because you can't copyright a publicly known URL. Therefore, it is not legally "stealing". At best, you could call it... "Not nice". I can go and do a search for Cross-Stitching on Yahoo, copy all the links, and paste 'em right into my new Cross-Stitching site. They don't own those fucking links. Whether someone was paid to review them or not. So basically it boils down to you being pissed off because someone found a shortcut... yes, because they were lazy or whatever, and you're mad because of it. Well sorry... life's a mutha sometimes.

If they are copying your originally written descriptions verbatim, then that's another story. Go kill 'em. Otherwise, stop crying.

I'm sure if you say to some guy "Stop using my links, you have no permission bla bla." he/she won't continue to use your galleries. Or she/he may send some traffic to your site for using your galleries.

anyway, you have no rights to keep links yourself. This is completely bullshit! Galleries submitted to 100s of TGPs and they're listing thoose galleries aswell! So how you can keep thoose links to yourself?
Also yahoo, google, altavista etc. indexing everyones links, password files (yes I see some!) etc etc. Because this is %100 legal. They are only indexing links, and displaying to us when we want!

But if you mean thoose sites are using your layout or HTML code in any case, you're right. But I checked them personally, and looks like very different from yours, listing is not completely goes in same order etc etc.

I don't see the problem either .. imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If I posted all the folks who took RNP's listings the list would be a mile long. I say share and share alike (hope BrettJ doesn't get pissed at that hehehe...).

I suppose if they took my ENTIRE gallery list I'd be pissed, but I don't really see that happening.

I don't see anything wrong with it. The TGP owner not only gets more traffic to it's submitters and their own site but also there is more of a chance that the search engines will pick up on those gallery pages with their recips on them and possibly boost them for link popularity. Your example of Hun and WorldSex is exactly what this IS about. Those sites are so popular because they take the time every single day to review hundreds of galleries... write descriptions and rank them according to their own criteria. That's when some lazy piece of shit comes along and snags the whole list everyday and just pastes it on his own site.

Individual links on The Hun or anywhere else are up for grabs and anyone can link to whatever they want but a complete list IS the property of that sites owner.

Check the Huns screw the screwers page to see how he feels about it... or better yet, copy his whole list and let me email him with your site name. We'll see what you think then.
