They better cancel some of that, it shows up on your credit record and it looks Negative. Brands you as a credit seeker :2 cents:

In the states if a company you already have an account with pulls a maintenance report, it shows to you but not anyone else. Not sure how it's done in Canada though.

Head...
I had the same situation 2 years ago with TD
They pulled it out about 10 times !!!

And when I called to complain, the girl was a major bitch. I said that I would go and close my account...and she said" Come over and it will be my pleasure"

She didn't look so smart when the bank director got her in the office !!

How did you determine this?

A sole inquiry drops your credit score (in the US) by 7 points. Multiple inquiries by one creditor within a month count as one, so do multiple mortgage companies or auto finance inquiries.

Did you apply for credit? Or, have you had unusual interactions with anyone at the bank?

I had this happen to me.. thats harassment and you can report it. HFC did that for me and made so many inquiries that they fucked up my credit. Fight it and they will remove it..

HFC is another story. Their reputation precedes them. They are well known for charging just a partial point under the legal definition of loan sharking - it is not surprising to hear about unethical practices related to them.

Hmmm..I bank with them as well...are you appling for a loan or something?

ElvisManson 02-04-2005 11:09 AM

You defintely want to get those removed.

That many requests will fuck with your Beacon Score

beemk 02-04-2005 11:10 AM

damn 7 points? i thought it was only 2 or 3
