You can either make one 404 page for your whole server, and have some affiate links on there... or you could use .htaccess to set specific 404 page for certain domains or directories to capture specific 404 traffic and send them to specific niche pages..

Use this and you have your choice of sending them to either a pop-up hell, a page full of blind links, or an autodownload (or not auto download) dialer. Whatever method you choose, it will make you money.

This is how I see it: How does a surfer end up at a 404 page? Usually he's a freeloader that doesn't want to pay for porn and try's to change my www.blabla.com/1/gallery.htm to www.blabla.com/2/gallery.htm that doesn't exist. I found the most profitable choice is to send them to an Amateur Pages Gallery. (You know, the ones that run this board). The click thrus are fairly high and I make more money off the 6 cents a click then I do with internet eraser or any pay site ad.
And yes, I had Eric look at my 404 gallery to give it his blessing. |
