I?d agree with this statement. $10 and you have your own digital homestead. But how much do you pay for the perfect domain? It has to be worth more than $10, right??

Cams.com was for sale for $16K back in 2000. I didn't have the money back then but I knew it was a very good deal.

16k? I wonder if that was nearer to Lensmans first offer before opening it up to the rest? Still, 800k seems a bit high . . . Can't you get a good sized house for 400 or 500k in Cali??

I was allowed to buy-in, but unfortunately my sale of melon.com happened around Thanksgiving, after the doors were closed for new bidders. :(

Last I heard, an average house in Silicon Valley sells for $640,000.

So, at what price does a "good sized" house sell? Obviously more. Maybe $800,000. Maybe a mil. It depends on your definition of "good sized." My guess is that a mil is a safe estimate for a good sized house.

It's a very very good domain name. Easily worth a California house. Even a good sized house.
