If someone owed you $$$ and wasnt paying..

If someone owed you a nice chunk of cheddar and wasnt paying up... What would you do? How would you go about trying to get it?

aflex 02-02-2005 09:27 PM

are you in NJ/NY? lets talk..

thefool 02-02-2005 09:30 PM

I'd round up all the stray cats I could find and drop them off at his house, there's nothing like the smell of cat piss on your bushes, porch, steps, in your car along with some dead fish under the seat, on a nice hot summer day, with the windows rolled up! You can't get rid of that smell, I'm sure his moving expenses & pet removal costs would outweigh what he owed me :)

Break their fucking legs ... then say pretty please! :2 cents:

Ask nice once then twice and then call a collection agency

vivency-AdamQ 02-02-2005 09:55 PM

yeah collection agency.... or file suit against them... dont just say you'll sue... sue them

candyflip 02-02-2005 09:56 PM

What if they owed you even a little bit of money?

IRQ0 02-02-2005 09:59 PM

Depends upon how much it is. I never expect to get or have paid back less than $200. For this reason I never lend or credit more than $200 total to a single person. More than $200 and I start to look into legal actions. Leins, collections or small claims are my prefered choice. Roughing up people etc is for punks and I would hope that all of us are more mature than that.

If they owed it to me in 2004, I'd take my deduction and write it off - then I'd have sent them a nice legal 1099-C that they have to file on their taxes , oh wait, I did that already :thumbsup :thumbsup

If they aint gonna pay me, at least they will have to pay Uncle Sam who will collect it one way or the other :winkwink:

If its less than the cost of gas to go kick their ass, who cares. Actually, there's this bitch in town who stiffed me $130... its actually BETTER TO NOT GET PAID, cause for the past 8 months, I've had the pleasure of watching her squirm when she see's me in public. She tries to dodge my family & myself like the plague. The best is when my brother & his gf saw her in walmart the other night. His gf said very loudly, "hey, isnt that the woman who didnt pay your sister" and my brother looked over and said "yeah i'd recognize that gumby looking bitch anywhere." She pulled her kid out of the car, and turned and walked out, left all her shit right there, with a shitload of people watching. LOL dumb bitch... key word... KHARMA!

If it's someone on here or other boards......You do like my hubby does and dog them on the boards until they have to pay or live a miserable life with him following them everywhere and posting behind them saying what lousy pieces of shit they are and that they owe him money so pay the fuck up....

or

If it's just someone in life, well, I figure karma will take care of it :)

I tip my hat to you. That is a kick ass idea that I hadn't thought of.

BTW I forgot to mention my guiding rule that helped me determine how much I will lend or credit. Never lend, credit or invest more money than you are willing to loose.

are you about iBill? ;)

sonofsam 02-03-2005 02:31 AM

You do whatever you have to do to find them, and then bounce their face off of the pavement.... and tax them for 10x what they owed you in the first place

goBigtime 02-03-2005 02:43 AM

Depends on the amount.

If it's not that much... just call them out publicly on it if they refuse to pay.

People will remember.

Sounds like someone is getting a warning to pay up :)

HAHA! I never had thought of that angle. I haven't run across this particular problem to date, but that's something to feather my hat with and consider should it come up.

plyndrty 02-03-2005 05:12 AM

Just start putting the pressure on and call, e-mail, visit, and just keep asking about the money. After some time they will get tired of hearing it and be throwing the money at you.

If they say that they will have the money tomarrow, I would be at there door step at 12:01 am...
