StuartD 02-02-2005 09:15 AM

bunch'a Knob Gobbler's can't tell me how the weather here is going to be just by a rodent seeing it's shadow.

They make it seem as though this thing see's it's shadow and the entire world has to endure more winter.

Playful Me 02-02-2005 09:16 AM

damn that means those silly canadians will be here in florida for 6 more weeks!!!

Real Canadians can handle the cool weather ... those things you have in FL are merely posers.

As for that furry little fucker and another six-weeks of winter, I say :banana

weeeeeeeeeeee

nojob 02-02-2005 09:33 AM

I do not mind the cold as long as the remote start works and I remember to leave the heat on.

The world's most famous furry forecaster saw his shadow Wednesday on Gobbler's Knob, suggesting another six weeks of wintry weather.
Where I come from, seeing your shadow on a Gobbler's Knob means something completely different :Graucho

Isn't there like three of those little rats they base the long winter theory on.

KittyLix 02-02-2005 10:52 AM

watching the clip of the groundhog today was sooo cute! LOL i actually cried a little LOL. it will get to 60 degrees here in vegas though!

cool1 02-02-2005 10:53 AM

6 more weeks of winter sounds about right, considering the first day of spring is on March 20th

ronaldo 02-02-2005 11:11 AM

Groundhog day is the one day of the year, I never remember until someone mentions it.

Probably because it doesn't mean shit.

dirtydesignz 02-02-2005 11:11 AM

We don't have those little stinkers here! :winkwink:

Peter Romero 02-02-2005 11:14 AM

Okay, okay ... sorry people, I will modify my thinking. Canadians such as I, whom live in Alberta because of the love for cold weather hope that little rat gets so scared by his shadow he needs coounsiling for the next few months.

JFK - Sure, I can make exceptions.

NichePay - StuartD: is that sunny Florida?

MetaMan - yah, and I am getting depressed. I just finished another Avy course but it felt like I was taking a lifegaurd course. The backcountry looks like the backyard pool.

FUCK do I hate warm-hot weather :waaaaahh

I need to move to Alaska!

Holly 02-02-2005 12:09 PM

fwiw, the groundhog here in the Southeast didn't see his shadow today.

I think his name is General Beauregard but I can't remember exactly where he is (Florida or Georgia, I think) but the news has been announcing all day that he's declared early spring for us, lol.

GatorB 02-02-2005 12:49 PM
