BMW X5 - PIMP AND HOT or SOCCER MOM'S CAR???
 

I'm debating... what's your opinion? Anyone have one? Reliable? Chicks impressed? Fast? Comfortable?

It's a nice car, but I'd go with the BMW M5

The X5 is a man's ride who is confident and does not have to prove to ANYONE that he is somebody. He's not a show off, doesn't need a car to get laid and is over the "drive fast and look cool" phase in his life.

The X5 is dope. I have a 330 now and am going to ditch it for an X5 I think. I wish I would of picked it up instead of the 330 to be honest with you.

It's a station wagon with a lift kit.

hot with the right OEM kit and OEM 20's on it. That black bumper and fender shit ain't cutting it. with the right options its a killer.

I bought my fiance a X5 4.4i. It's great, has tons of balls, great handling and looks pimp. My only complaints are sometimes the ride seems a bit bumpy, but that could be because we live up here in god's country or also because BMW likes their vehicles to be a "drivers" vehicle.

If you're seriously interested in getting one give me a shout and I will put you in touch with our salesguy. He's a straight up guy and will treat you like gold :)

5th Gear picked it over LandRover (of course this is going to be the better four-by-four) and Mercedes SLK - over all rip & snort performance. The thing corners better and has more creature comforts than most cars.

A person can never go wrong with any BMW (very few exceptions) and is my overall favorite manufacturer.

BMWs are great cars, I had a 330ci coupe in college and loved it.

The X5 is great, but I prefer a sedan. If you need it, get it ... you wont regret it.

whats the cost of one of those? is it close to a G-class mercedes? if so look into that...no one has one and they can run through things like tanks

3.0 runs about $50K OTD
4.4 runs about $60K OTD
4.6 Not sure! That one rivals the Cayanne!

in that case check out the G-class....amg will be way outta that range but the normal one may be close to it...not for sure though. Not sure what you need the car for, but if its kids/family Pacificas are really nice and well engineeried. I personally never understood the purpose of SUV's, but hey, to each their own

Yeah I agree with one of the above posters.. The Rover HSE is pimp... But the tag on that thing is higher..

Of all the SUV's out there at the moment thats the one I want most and have been having my eyes on as of late.

We came real close to buying an Infiniti FX45 last week after the car show.

After seeing some on the road my wife seems to love it more, but im kinda 2nd guessing it. The BMW X5 is looking better to me now.

And its strange casuse not to long ago I always told myself Id never want one of those.

Now I find the voices in my head discussing how they like the X5..

Those rides are pimp for sure. BM mother fuckin W rule. Oh and Raf1, and M-5 is a lot different in price. My boss has a chery red one and it is sick. Now thats PIMPIN.

Bone, the HSE is awesome! Charlo used to own one and he took me for a ride once, very nice! But it ain't cheap, if I were you I would get a nice used 2003-2004 model with a few miles on it. That way you can pick it up for almost nothing... It' fucking near impossible to tell the difference between a 2003 and a 2005. Same as BMW they don't change styles often because there is nothing worse than buying a car then the next year they change the style completely. No one wants to drive an outdated vehicle or older class just after they pick one up.

The X5 is actually for my fiance, I barely ever have a chance to drive it but when I do it's loads of fun. Got a ton of balls and it's fun to drive :)

I personally am starting to gear up for a vehicle to relace my Audi S4, and on my shortlist of vehicles I am looking at a BMW M5, Mercedes E55 AMG, Audi S4 Convertible or Infiniti FX45. I am going to go start test driving vehicles maybe next month or so...

I never say I didn't like it... I just wish I would have chosen a good SUV instead. My 330 is a nice car don't get me wrong, it rides great and is fun to drive but now it's time for something new.

Besides, when it snows even 1/2 an inch, that fucker is not going anywhere. It gets stuck and slides worse than any car I have ever seen. :(

I cant find a Range Rover HSE 2003-2004 for under 50k.. ITs not dropping in value enough.. SHit.. Between the Rove HSE and the BMW 7 series I cant fucking find one with enought depreaction to buy used. Its driving me nuts..

But you mentioned the Infiniti FX45.. New its 55k.. We test drove it and loved it. But guess what. That mother fucker depreciates BIG TIME... You can find 1-2 year old used ones with little miles for 20k cheaper than new!

UNREAL!! The Hummer has an even bigger deprecation percentage!

Why cant I find a Rover or a 7 series with that kinda deprecation.

Deprecation aside, my wife and I both loved the FX45..
The FX35 is nice too. But to get the 45 its not much more.

I asked myself if the Porche name was taken off the hood and if it said Honda with the same specs at 25k cheaper would I still like it??

My answer was no..
