Which would be better the cd-rw/dvd combo drive or to get faster drives by themselves?

i rarely use the cdrom.. but i'd use a cdrw.. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif but i wouldnt watch dvd on my pc.. rather use a big screen tv.. my monitor is just too small.
