anyone run several boards?
 

I'm going to ask on the support board for teh software but I'll ask here first...

does anyone run vbulletin or phpbb boards?

What is needed to have the same board on different domains...much like how GFY is on gfyboard.com, gofuckyourself.com , etc.

I like invision, ubbthreads, and VB. All are pretty good, I've run communities at each one. I prefer invision and UBBThreads, but VB seems more a standard in the adult biz.

Have your host assign domains to point to your primary site location (IP) - Not great for SE marketing but good for branding if you need to do it.

Any host can do that ... it's not board specific.

Cyndalie, have you tried the invision hosted board? If yes, what's your feedback.

Can they point individual folders and not just the domains?

i.e. if I have the boards setup on www.domain1.com/board, www.domain2.com/board, and so on.

SoulRebel - I have not used their board hosted services, just on our own server.

If you go to any NFL board you can see they use invision - With over 75,000 users in some communities it seems to handle the loads ok - could be faster.

just make them all use the same database
