VH2 is doing a Depeche Mode vs New Order thing for the next hour. I know there are a number fellow DM fans here.

New order rocked and flock of seagulls before them..... hmm was it flock of seagulls that turned into new order after the lead singer died? Im not sure now

What I love about New Order was with Blue Monday they lost 50pence on every 12" they sold, but it didnt matter as they thought they wouldnt sell any anyway. Turned out to be the biggest selling 12" of all time. :upsidedow

I love new order, but dont think Depeche Mode can be classed in the same league

Depeche Mode and New Order are cousins sound wise..but DM sort of have a two stage history..before and after vince. After Vince is when they are on par with New order. Prior to that they were more in the Erasure league for reasons those that know their music understand.
