left or center, design question
 

What do you think works better for sites?

having everything to the left of the monitor or having in centered in the monitor?

ive always done my site in the center but I want others opinions.

seems like everyone is centering and doing the double borders nowadays....the first site i saw with this type of design is www.pertunda.com.

Well ive heard people recomend using a left boarder because alot of surfers use smaller resolutions or aol.

but then I just like the way it looks centered..

I dont know which would be better for surfers.

I do all my sites centered simply because I like it that way.

I like the centered ones.

I like the centered look too.

When something is not centered it personally bothers the hell out of me.

if your site has less than 760px of width you won't have any compatibility/resolution problems... but if not, you will have a horizontal scrollbar...and that is a major problem in ergonomics... :winkwink:
