So my website has thousands of pages and I'm building more every day. The thing is it's a PR5 site and I noticed that the more pages I build it seems that it gets harder to rank those pages high in Google.

I feel that the site is too big for it's current PR. I don't know exactly how to explain what I'm thinking but hopefully someone can.

Depends on the structure of your site.If you keep adding more and more pages willy nilly without any links back to the index page and all pages having links out then your are leaking your page rank.This will decrease the authority of the main pages.Either get inbound links to those inner pages or hide the links out and direct the pr to your main pages

what's the highest PR an adult site can get? I don't think I've seen anything higher than a 6.

Ive seen legit adult PR8's......But it seems very hard to get it over 6 though for most places

Do some deeplinking instead of just linking straight to your index. Mix up the keywords, even if they are from the same keyword theme. Make each page dominated by a different keyword, and build your content accordingly. Don't overuse the keyword more than you need to, and constantly update those links.
