God exists!

After Kitty Kate made her post about Jesus, I remembered something I had learned at school. A wise philosopher once said, maybe not word for word, but this is the idea: "The only idea of perfection (God) is in itself too hard for any human to invent it, it already existed before any of us existed, therefore God exists."
Don't do anything stupid now, as life is limited, past is past, whatever you do or will do will eventually be past, but heaven or hell is FOREVER! For anybody who have done math, we all know any limited number divided by infinity gives a plain ZERO. If you live 50, 100, or even 10000 years, time is unlimited and your life will end sooner or later and will always be worth nothing. The afterdeath, that is INFINITY. Think about it...

Yes, I think forever is a long time, but then again, perfection in heaven? the same damn thing forever, and then if I choose not to believe you are going to send me to hell because "god" has an ego trip. God is supposed to be all mighty and forgiving, if he does exist, he shouldnt condem us for adam and eves sins, given us all the chance to do what they did. All I am saying is, no God who puts us here to live a life and die, or to have little kids murdered, or killed in accidents is no God I wish to believe in. I believe when I die, my essence will become a part of the earth, and in that way some how some way a part of me will always live as a seed to the earth.

Sorry for rambling but just putting what i believe :321GFY :pimp

You actually believe there is an invisible man who lives in the sky and watches everything that every one of us does? And, he has a list of 10 things you can NOT do and if you do them you will go to a place filled with fire and torture and spend eternity there. But, this man loves you very much.

Personally I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than to live my life as if there isn't a God and die to find out there is.

thought this would fit in this thread....

The university professor challenged his students with this question.

Did God create everything that exists? "

A student bravely replied "Yes, he did!"

"God created everything?" the professor asked.

"Yes sir", the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created
evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define
who we are, then God is evil".

The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the
students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question
professor?"

"Of course", replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, "Professor does cold exist?"

The professor replied "Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?"

The! students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to
the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of
heat.
Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits
energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy.
Absolute zero (- 460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat. Cold does
not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have
no heat.

The student continued. "Professor, does darkness exist?"

The professor responded, "Of course it does".

The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir. Darkness does not exist
either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can
study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white
light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color.
You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray o! f light can break into a
world of darkness and illuminate it. How c an you know how dark a certain
space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct?
Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor. "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already
said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity
to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the
world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least
it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just
like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the
absence of God.

God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens
w! hen man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold
that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is
no light."

The professor sat down.

Albert Einstein aside. that has to be the dumbest argument for god I have ever heard. Using science to prove religion :1orglaugh

I think he was trying to prove a point, not prove religion.

you are right tho, science hasnt yet been able to prove or disprove God.

great book about it called A Case for a Creator...goes thru all the theories on the begining of time, Big bang, Darwinism...very interesting..

God only exists in the minds of those that believe ... I am not one of those believers so he does not exist nor has he ever!

The book sounds similar to one I read ages ago, by Daniel J. Boorstin (one of my favourite authors), titled ?Seekers?. If you liked

If I was a dedicated/devoted Christian or whatever and my culture, community, country or whatever was always plagued with 'issue/s? I would be extremely pissed at this supposed 'almighty' that people keep mentioning.
Just stand back and look at what has happened to ANY devotee to any god-fearing/believing religion and ask yourself ... what kind of fucking prick (or hahahaha) is this 'god' and what will it take for the fuck-up to hear their pleas (by ?hear? I mean assist).
I keep hearing from the religious how much of a god he/she/it is yet I see nothing to back it. Help some people that truly need it ? then and only then will I possibly give it another go.

?Hope? is all that I understand when it comes to people needing religion (any and everything else is mere crap and a waste of time to me). How I see it, most people only believe in a god due to their fear that one-day they may stand in front some gate gates trying to explain how they deserve to enter because they were a good little fanatic.

I realized ages ago the bible was merely meant as a reference book for society to learn how to coup with each other. Which brings up another problem ? people still cling to ideologies from thousands of years ago ?time to move on people.
