To submit everything by hand (with the support of some tools) gives you the best chance to get listed, just start with a big list of TGPs or MGPs and don't submit (or autosubmit) to those that never sent you traffic after ~2-3 months.

That how I do it with my DBs (signature), and if you're a newbie you'll learn what it takes to get listed if you handsubmit. If you just autosubmit you'll never learn anything an you'll not see any reasonal success.

Yes because everything we submit is accepted for free by The Hun and several other very large tgp's. :winkwink:

Because of the 3 day rule on The Hun. Since they list everything we send it is plenty for us. We have a gallery on the hun this morning somewhere around #80.

If your galleries get accepted by most big TGPs then you're missing out ~30-40% of traffic if you just submit to the bigger 30 ones. Have you never thought about expanding your submission list?

Sure.....we are always trying new ones and monitoring traffic constantly, weeding out the bad ones and adding the good ones. The list of 30 that Joe submits to by hand has been compiled over a period of almost 7 years of hard work.

If you have any reccomendations we will be glad to add them to the test list and try them out. We normally give the test tgp's about ten submissions over a period of 30 days then make a decision weather or not to keep them.

IMHO a combination of both is the best... ;)

We have been thinking about using an auto submitter to do 100 - 200 smaller tgp's also to see how that works along with our hand submissions. Just don't have enough time in the day for being only two people and running our own paysites. It's on our list though...... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Joe just gave me a big aaaaaargh and told me to get off GFY.....gotta love a workaholic. :winkwink:

Well some TGPs take longer to list your galleries (I still get acceptace emails for galleries I've submitted last summer), and some TGPs get their Galleries from a Gallery pool, which could cause that you'll not see the domain you've submitted to in your ref. stats.
Many TGPs also take months to get listed, but then you'll stay for a long time in their Archives, which gives nice SE-rankings and some additional Sales, so I think your testing period of 30 Days is too short, I always start looking into my ref. Stats after 2-3 months :)

Just as an example I have ~1900 TGPs in my Database, and I try to submit to ~700 of them every now and then (it should be daily), but my Galleries have received traffic from more than 3000 different Domains in Jan 05, so everything seems to be very mixed up in the TGP area, and therefore I just sort my TGPs by Traffic and submit to the most important first and to the less important later, but I never delete any TGP from my list.

Just take your time with the big ones and autosubmit to the others

server logfiles, many TGPs prefer galleries without image counters.
