Indeed, I'm sure he can't get into the car...but driving would be suicide, so it's better to let it stay!

That sucks. Once in a while we too get reezing rain and it looks just like that. Nothing sucks more than trying to go to work when its +2'C and you can not open the door on your car because there is a 1/4" sheet of ice on everything...

junction 01-30-2005 05:39 PM

During our last ice storm, It took me nearly 45 minutes to just get the door to my truck open.

sickkittens 01-30-2005 05:43 PM

FlexxAeon 01-30-2005 05:47 PM

At least the water is still fluid. Here's some pics I took from my window about a week ago in Chicago.

It started with a big snow dump about 2 weeks ago

http://www.tibgraphics.com/pics/chicago_2005_01.jpg

Soon after we got hit with a blizzard

http://www.tibgraphics.com/pics/chicago_2005_02.jpg

For this guy, it was just a walk in the park

http://www.tibgraphics.com/pics/chicago_2005_03.jpg

And the day after. Yes, that's lake Michigan in the background..frozen

I remember one winter when all the trees in the neighborhood were covered in a sheet of ice, the slightest gust of wind would set off a really cool, but eerie crystal like sound, was very surreal.

Vitasoy 01-30-2005 09:37 PM
