harassment in the work place.
 

trying to figure what to tell my friend.

he works for yahoo as a developer. so he wants to keep his job. he took some time off recently. when he got back his boss left a card on his desk saying "get well soon" on the inside "so i can keep picking on you"

what should he do? what would you do?

i'd take it as a friendly joke ?

yes, hes getting picked on, hes boss is always picking on him.

I say shit like that to my employees all the time. I never mean anything bad by at, perhaps your friend has thin skin

I think this is a case that we would have to be there..

I pick on some employees more than others, because they either deserve it or they allow it.. Infact its kind of a way of telling your employee they should have more backbone , and stand up for themselves.. I hate employees who make excuses or second guess their own work..

If he goes off and tries to get his employer busted, he may just make things worse for himself...it doesn't seem like that big of a deal.
