The Iraq elections
...have been under way for hours and appear to being going well. Apparently millions are voting...and thus far there has only been eight suicide bomber attacks and a few mortar attacks...to mar the election turnout.
It has been reported that in some areas there appears to be as high as a 90% turnout. It will be interesting to see what the overall percentage is when all of the votes are counted. One thing that is apparent...the "insurgents" represent an insignificant number of the Iraqi people. |
yes I just hope it is honest, I wonder how many of us would vote if it meant that we may be killed at the polls. They are a very brave people for sure. Looks like they really want this.

It's all fake anyway. I am sure that the winner will be pre-determined.

The voting is over. Very few incidents. It is currently being estimated as somewhere around 70% overall turnout...where as there is usually only a 40 some odd percent turnout in the US.
It appears to be a hugh success. |

So that makes about 25% of possible voters voted. Hardly a success or in anyway representative of the Iraqi people. Who even selected the candidates? :1orglaugh I hope the insurgents keep up the resistance. This puppet government must be squashed. |
