cant wait to fucking quit...

Man, I work for a fucking outsourcing company that takes calls for various companies. I hate this shit so fucking much!!! We take calls for fucking dell now, tech support. The people that call are so mutha fucking stupid. I want to curse them all out. That is just a matter of time, but how long is my question? I am at this place all the fucking time, and there is no REAL part-time schedules. I have a few tgps damn near completion, but I am always fucking here. No real time to work. How long does it usually take them to grow to where you can make a living from them?

sonofsam 01-29-2005 07:44 PM

ProjectNaked 01-29-2005 07:44 PM

Seriously, if you think a few tgp's are gonna get you away from your payng job, you got another thing coming. Unless you are really apt and somehow that 1 in 10,000th webmaster that is actually clueless and will make a few nothing tgp's replace a paying job then your doomed before you start. The reality will set in real quick, I can just tell from your questions, you will be looking for a job within 1 month of going on your own with a tgp :2 cents:

KRL 01-29-2005 07:49 PM

3 Steps.

1. See sig.

2. Buy ad.

3. Make more money than you are now.

4. :pimp You'll be a bling bling pimp in no time flat.

my post is reality bro, it took me plenty long to pull my head out of my ass. I assume you are young with out many responsibilities, if this is the case, bust your ass on both jobs, suck it up and get a little something going first, atleast make half of the revenue you are currently making before even thinking about jumping ship
:2 cents:

sickkittens 01-29-2005 08:06 PM

Are you at least helpful to those that call?

Undisputed1 01-29-2005 08:11 PM

LOL, Am I in India? Fuck No!!! I am in the states. Am I helpful? Yes. Pissed off? Hell Yes

thefool 01-29-2005 08:14 PM

I have a friend who does tech support, its not a hard job, he says 90% of the callers just have to plug in their computer, 5% need to take out the disk thats in the floppy drive after they've turned it on and the other 5% just need to shoot themselves & get it over with. He spents 50% of his day chatting on yahoo, and gets paid! I'd take his job over mcDee's anyday ;)

I'm in business tech, and we arent calling you.......

MarkTiarra 01-29-2005 08:28 PM

You know your sig says, "How I Got Rich..." Now this don't seem quite right considering your discussions here...
:error

That said, you might want to look at an archive site like with www.deluxepass.com too. It's not going to make 99.9% of the people rich but it will usually generate a little stash. If your income needs are low like int he $2k per month range then building some TGP or MGP sites and running an archive as well as some other hustle is certainly doable. You gotta treat it like a job though and set up goals, stay focused and work a minimum set of hours. Don't succomb to Internet ADD and spend half your time BSing about nothing on a board and poking around sites and not doing anything productive. Stay focused and you ought to be able to at least make a starter living at it.

Undisputed1 01-29-2005 08:32 PM

thanks for the advice.....will take note of it.

How I Got Rich, lol .....just a sponsor, lol. Not my situation

No, I dont speak in slang, and yes probably one of my ignorant co-workers. Another reason why I despise this job.

Forkbeard 01-30-2005 12:48 AM

Serious answer: working steadily part time, about half-time on average, it took me from February 2002 (when I started building my first pathetic free-hosted gallery, having zero knowledge or understanding of the biz) until June of 2004, to have a solid and real (as in "Job? Why would I want a job?") income from this biz.

I know it can be done faster, but that's the only bullshit-free data I've got.
