Modified Xbox's for sale - NEVER PAY FOR GAMES AGAIN

Never pay for a video game again. I will modifiy your xbox, remove the 8GB hard drive and put in a brand new 250GB hard drive. On it you will be able to rent'borrow games and save the ENTIRE game to the xbox. Yes, you will play the game off of the hard drive and never need the disc again. The average Xbox game is 2.2GB so you can hold quite a few games but if you get full its easy to delete ones you don't want.

For old school gamers:
I can put every sing ATARI, NES, SNES, Sega master system, and Sega Geniesis game on the xbox. Yep, over 3,000 games and they only take up 20 GB or there about.

With the new system software you no longer need to buy the DVD remote kit to watch DVD's, the parental control is disabled, you can stream movies and music off of your pc, you can stream live music off the internet, the xbox media player will play damn near any video format out there (great for when you get avi off the net and want to watch on tv), and much more.

$500

I've been able to do this for years but I wanted you to see my sig so I'm telling you now ;)

freeadultcontent 01-29-2005 07:05 PM

thats illegal.

Kard63 01-29-2005 07:05 PM

It should be said that modified xbox's can do everything non-modified ones can except play on xbox live. We coudl turn the mod off in the past and not bet banned but MS has finally figured out how to fuck us. So no XBL.

Doctor Dre 01-29-2005 07:05 PM

I can get that for a bit cheaper :P

Um so you have permission to "put every sing ATARI, NES, SNES, Sega master system, and Sega Geniesis game on the xbox."

OOPPPSSSS :error I can only put the those games on there if you own a retail cartridge of that game. This would then be a legal back up. So I can do it if you own all those old games. When I ask what games you have be honest :thumbsup

send me a sample unit..i might want to buy them in biulk :thumbsup

Kard63 01-29-2005 07:29 PM

Did I mention that there are many Xbox games available on news groups that only work on modified units? You can dl them and transfer them straight to your xbox :winkwink:

evildick 01-29-2005 08:44 PM

I bought one from friendtech.com. Definately a neat toy, even if you don't want to pirate games. I have it hooked up to my home theater system so I can access all the media files on my PC. Also works great for listening to internet radio stations. I also had linux on it, but I somehow managed to fuck it up.

NaughtyRob 01-29-2005 08:49 PM

Sounds sweet, I will get one soon. How long is the deal dude?

ICQ me.

Veterans Day 01-29-2005 08:50 PM

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Im very tempted to play me some Joe Montana footbal for genesis :winkwink:

Alex 01-29-2005 08:51 PM

Way to expensive.

You can get all that done either by yourself if you want to take a few days and learn it, or $200 here in L.A

Its a matter of trust. I would trust a GFYer that has been on here for a long time over some fucking Los Angeles swap meet person.

:2 cents:

Can't you just keep the old old harddrive in and have some sort of switch to boot from the old drive? That way you can play xbox live. I read a few people saying you can do that and it works on xbox-scene. I will hit you up later to mod mine.

Mr. Mike 01-29-2005 09:10 PM

sounds cool actually. Games are what average 49 bucks? If games are 2.5gigs, thats 100 games you could save on that drive. Would cost 5 grand for 100 games. Good deal really.

Wow, what a deal. $150 bucks to put a solderless mod chip in.

shageman 01-29-2005 09:13 PM

you have to install a switch to play live now, of better yet, when you get a new box, mod it first, then sign up to xbl with it, what it does is create a marriage liscense for you, funny as it sounds but it takes your hd serial # and puts it under you, so if you sign up then change the hd then sign on the # wont match and your banned, when you send in your xbox now to get something fixed they send you a # to call xbl and tell them the hd has been fixed then they allow you to sign on and create a new liscense. Just my 2 cents

BradShaw 01-29-2005 09:13 PM

Who has time for video games?

An xbox is $160 and a 250GB western Digital hard drive (I wont use maxtor even if you like them because I know they suck) costs $140 if you get a good deal. Not to mention the actual "moding" part. And its not easy for people who arent interested in programming IC's, FTPing their xbox, configuiring ini files, and learning where to get what software for what thing and what the different bios do or where to get them.

In the past the switches would let you turn your mod off so the xbox booted its own bios and woudnt get banned on XBL. Then microsoft added code to new games to have it scan your hard drive for file names that don't belong in there and you got banned anyway. The switches are useless unless you wanted to take your xbox apart and switch HD's. To have two HD's in there you would need some custom plastic molded case to make room for a 2nd HD and some kind of y splitter for an IDE cable and a switch to control it (Which I dont think exists and would be cheaper to buy a 2nd xbox for Xbox live anyway).

This only applies to people who want xbox live. No worries if you don't want to game on the net with it.

They part about them tracking your setup for hardware changes is true, but they switches dont work 95% of the time now anyway do to the new methods by MS. If yours works its a fluke anymore. There is no way anyone should count on it. Incredibly unlikely unless you only play the first generation of XBL games (the search instructions are on the game) and if you never have anything on the HD that doesnt belong there (in their mind).

Solderless modchips suck balls. They always become unaligned and then people would have to ship them back to me to fix. No one will ever have to ship back to me.

Yea but a second xbox is the price of 3 games. I bet they saved more than the price of 3 games in the long run.

Besides, most people don't play xbox live.

tedwinters 01-29-2005 10:33 PM

It'd be an okay deal if you dropped the price $100....
xbox = $150
250gb WD = $160 (without the rebates that are out every month dropping it to under $100)

so basically you're charging $200 for a 5 minute softmod that most xbox modders will charge $30 for :)...

The rest of the emulators are easily available in newsgroups or torrents.. and no programming or ini file changing is usually even necessary :) Just ftping.. :)

$400 would be a decent price to do it for...
(yeah, I've been modding xboxes for 2 years now.. starting with the original 29 wire solder chips :))

tedwinters 01-29-2005 10:34 PM

don't forget xbconnect is an 'okay' live alternative for people you mod for.....
let's most of the popular games play as backups..

shageman 01-29-2005 11:05 PM

xbconnect is a joke, not even close, and the most lag of all lags on there

BlueQuartz 01-29-2005 11:12 PM

fuck off you criminal

shuki 01-30-2005 12:16 AM

That is stealing though :(

Mr Pheer 01-30-2005 01:09 AM

Since I have 2 xboxes sitting here and i only use one for XBL (which i think sucks anyway) this is very tempting. How long after you recieve the xbox will you be shipping it out? And where are you located?

Even somebody with a I.Q. of 70 can install a modchip nowadays into a xbox...

Remove $200 from that "deal" it will become a nice offer...

PHPdude 01-30-2005 06:58 AM

i dont recon illegal stuff is good eh.

QuaWee 01-30-2005 07:24 AM

$500 is a litte steep especially for an xbox with no xbox live support

Ya, on my Xbox, the internet radio station access is located in the Xbox Media Centre app, but I think it is something you have to add in there yourself. Mine came with it already setup when I bought it, so I'm not totally sure about that. There's probably something in the xbox-scene.com forums about this.
