Is this program converting bad?

I have a this one sponsor where im averaging 1:3000+ program wide. but when I login to see the actual stats, theres only a couple sites that are 1:500+, so really.. its not all that bad. its just in stats remote, when I see 1:3000+ I'm ready to pull links asap. what do you think?

xclusive 01-29-2005 02:17 PM

stats remote is a great program but it has hickups all the time

sean416 01-29-2005 02:21 PM

I dont think you understand what im saying. This has nothing to do with an error in stats remote. If a program has 50 sites in their portfolio, and all together you are converting at 1:3000.. program wide... (which is bombing IMO) but then there isnt one particular site you're doing bad with. the hits are just spread out all over the sites. is it still time to pull links? yanno.

Analize your traffic to get more profit. If you see some sites arent converting pull those links and try a other sponsor with the same niche site(s)

I swear to god sometimes I'm talking to the wall..........
maybe im not explaining this right?

in the simplest terms possible..
1. do you base your decisions on pulling links based on the entire programs overall conversion rate
2. do you take stats from individual sites to base your conclusion

Why in the hell would you base your decision over the overall conversions? I'm sorry, but thats borderline retarded. Do you stop eating at Burger King because you don't like their chicken strips? No, you simply don't order chicken strips there.

2. That's what i said. Let's say site A works for you but B doesnt, find another sponsor for B but keep the good ratios at the same sponsor with A.

Simple enough for you ? :upsidedow

sean416 01-29-2005 02:39 PM

good point. I guess because statsremote doesnt provide stats for individual sites I kind of got sucked into looking at sponsors on the whole. thanks for your reply.

That's right on. Let's say you were using a sponsor with 50 programs in their portfolio and 49 of the sites were converting at 1:150 and one site was converting at 1:200,000. Would you really even consider dropping the entire program? Of course not.

Also, check out my signature for a fresh site with exclusive content. We only have one site so there won't be any confusion :)
