Why do members hate downloading the latest and best new media players??
 

It's frustrating trying to get everyone on the same page! Why don't they realize that with a certain browser the movies can be smaller in file size and higher quality?

because people are stupid.

I am putting plugin update info on a splash screen before they login to my members section. WM9 or bust damnit!

Also because their pants are around their ankles and they want to get their jerk on that second. No time to download the better media player.

I'd love to switch everything to WMV 9 but it's going to take more time.

I think it is because they realy don't know how their machine works and they are afraid that the new media player will fuck up and then they will have nothing.
if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Not a bad idea. I'm thinking of making a large graphic up on top of the page like a 1/2 page ad telling them they WILL need to get the latest version.

Most surfers have less idea how a computer works than I do and are terrified of downloading something.
