SQL and Webair

Hello,

I would like to know if i am the only one to have sql problems with webair ?
Error:
Can't connect to MySQL server on 'sql3.webair.com' (64)

it is like that every week since about 9 months and i really start to be crazy with this kind of problems.
i already moved one of my tgp in an other hosting and thinking about to do the same with my other one.

well, i heard many good things about them and every time i asked them something it was ok but this time i think it's too much

anyway, sorry about my english but it isn't my first language :D

see ya

i used webair for a total of 4 weeks, and had NOTHING but trouble with their sql databases....they "fixed" it like 5 times, gave me MONTHS of free service cause of my troubles...but it kept happening...i had to move on

Yeah... same... but I just figured I / may have outgrew that virtual plan.

I never got "months of free service" :|

Going well at ISPrime so far :thumbsup

Mine was doing that awhile ago today. I was just about to get support on chat and it went away.

Damn. Hard to be different when you can't be dynamic.

My best move ever was setting up a home server.

Costs me $0 per month. Excluding the $70 per month for my internet connection.

Judging from your previous posts on this board, I am sure you will be quite a valued addition to GFY. :rollseyes

As far as mySQL db's on webair, I personally have never had a problem. There was a slight delay in setting up my last one but I went to webair and used the live support chat thing and it was taken care of within like 10 minutes. I can't really add to the pot other than I have PERSONALLY never had any troubles.

notice its always some guy with a small virtual, trying to run as many CJ sites as he can, hogging box resources, complaining about a host. ;)

as for thread:

ive had dedicated with webair for over 3 years now.

no problems and i dont get free service i pay my way.

get a real server and stop complaining about a 15$ plan.

Heh... I was hardly complaining... I admitted that I likely outgrew that virtural plan (btw, $150 not $15). Also, it was only 1 tgp, not "as many CJ sites as I can".

All I know is that at exactly noon EST every day for an hour or two, MySQL connection problems occurred. I was told once that ANOTHER DB on the server was causing the problems... not mine :P I was told once that I was using too many resources... but mostly I wasn't told the problem and just had to wait out the couple hours for it to start working again.

I had no problems with support and likely would have moved to a dedicated server there if they had been able to clearly identify the problem and either fixed it or suggested a dedicated server... but when you hear every day at 2pm that it works now and everything should be okay, then at noon the next day it happens again, you get a little pissed off and start to look around.

And your savings go down the toilet when your cable/DSL dies for 3 days and kills off all your traffic. :1orglaugh

I guess you either have a symmetrical plan (eg 512kbit/512kbit), or small sites...
