Windows XP professional paging file size.

I have 1 gig in main pc. 200 gig hd secondart is 60 giger third hd in ADS Enclosure is 200 gigs.

Should i set my paging file on the 60 giger? word?

Put the page file on the drive thats usally the smallest assuming 60gb and make sure windows is not on that drive either

Make sure it's on the fastest drive which is usually the smallest drive as C said. It needsw to be bigger than 1 gig though. When windows switches to using the paging file for temp data you would be fucked if you were using the 1 gig drive.

The paging file should be on the same HD / partition as the windows directory.

lol thats totally wrong man, you want it on a drive that doesnt have the main OS files and boot records etc, that way it gets the most speed while windows is doing its thing on the one drive the page file can get max speed on the other drive since its not assed up with work from windows.

You always want to put your paging file on a drive other than the root drive (where windows resides) but never want to put it on a external drive since it is too slow to page too. So for this one the 2nd drive of 60gb would be perfect
