My Aims & Targets in the next 3 years...

So by the time I am nearly 25 I will aim to do the following:

1.) Become a millionaire
Why? so I have money to play with and actually be able to take opportunites that arise and give others opportunities.

2.) Visited 15 more countries (this year have italy, andorra, kenya, thialand and Ireland on the list).
Why? So that I can learn about other cultures and the subtle differences between how we all live. This helps in business and in changing a narrow mindset.

3.) Running businesses which add value to society and make a difference to people's lives.
Why? If you don't know why, then I see no2.

4.) Learn french, to dance and proper english grammer/speaking.
Why? I went to croatia recently and struggled to say anything, I am going france this year so I will learn the language. My dancing sucks and my english is awful... these things will be sorted this year! :)

5.) Learn accounting and how best to use your money and graduate from my degree :)
Why? Because I think its so important to use the money you have wisely, so much more to be made if you know how to play the financial game.

Some of these I have already done, thats my current list.. I am sure it will change... whats yours and why.

This year, I wan't to get my real estate license, break 300k for the year, and finally open an IRA. I also would like to do some stock trading.

MandyBlake 01-28-2005 02:28 PM

good luck on your goals!

xclusive 01-28-2005 02:31 PM

Good luck on your goals. I just want to be able to make enough to feed my family and give us everything that we need

sonofsam 01-28-2005 02:32 PM

good luck with that, visiting all those countries might make it hard for you to become a millionare though... (don't know how much money you have already) but visitis 5 countries a year is a bit much , in my opinion

Veterans Day 01-28-2005 02:34 PM

break 150k and buy 2-3 more houses and flip em

BradM 01-28-2005 02:36 PM

Hey big D.
I want to learn more French as well. Over the next year I am going to be taking French and Spanish in school- and brushing up on my japanese on my own time. I believe language is HUGE and very handy.

English.. I feel the same way. I am learning a lot right now in my English class. I should employ the things I learn here... but then that means I need to think while I post and that's not a good idea.

Visiting countries... word. I visited 3 different countries within 25 days last year (yeah yeah, Canada, US and Mexico but so what ;) ) and I would love to tour Europe at some point in my life. I hope my long term goals bring me closer to travelling as well.

Well it doesn't always cost loads, I am going out to Thialand to help with the rebuilding and the cost for me is just flights.... It can be done, and the millionaire thing... :)

Libertine 01-28-2005 02:42 PM

I only have 4 goals for the next 3 years:

3. Learn Russian.
4. Leave this horrible country.

Mine is simple - make more money! But I do right down the amounts and stick them on the wall. Monthly yearly and equity goals.

YOur problem is number 1!

You dont just become a millionaire, you have to do something you like and enjoy and then the money rolls in.

So I have been told! I am going to be 35 tommorrow, and I had a goal to be a millionaire by 25 also, I think that most people set their goals for 25. Weird.

But nevertheless, good luck and I hope you make it.

Polak 01-28-2005 05:00 PM

I have goal to reach $1mil by 25 too.... Halfway there and I got 3.5 years left :)
