COVERING A COPYRIGHT LOGO ON A VIDEO Clip....

I am trying to cover MY watermark on a wmv file, how do I do it. Before you begin making accusations, I am selling a few sets of clips to a friend and don't have the time/effort/patience to re-capture and export the clips. He is aware they are not exclusive and recommend this.

I use Premiere Pro, if I build a new title with a black background and new text layer it covers it fine, but how do I export the clip. When I do it as wmv it makes a mess, (it's a wmv to start with) When I do a mpeg2 it also comes out wrong. Any advice????

:helpme

Change your wmv export settings. Make the bitrate higher.

It still tries to compress an already compressed file, ends up no sound and all chops....

same process as you did at first

just your source will be a wmv instaed of a raw dv avi

i do not recomend this as you lose much quality and most likely unless for example: these wmvs are super hi rez and you want the output to be medium

as far as outputting them into anything other format than a wmv I can't really give advice but i would imagine that the quality loss issue will be greater

You can try it in Vegas and see what happens.

HAha oh your using a WMV in premiere.
Problem is you cant,, there is a bug I actually discovered (the first bug in premiere pro they told me when I called) that wont allow wmvs to work properly.
