Someone explain this to me...

I was just going through my CCBill stats and noticed something odd.

Im showing 2 chargebacks from one user. It says this person signed up to me site, and even let it rebill for another month. Then apparently he not only charged back the rebill, but the initial signup as well.

Explain to me why on earth ccbill would give this douche bag his money back when he obviously had a full month of access? I can understand the chargeback on the rebill, but why give him money back for his initial join? He didnt even cancel until 2 weeks into the rebill. So there's no reason to refund him his first payment.

I am sorry for the following but ... LOL ... yah the fucking meathead at the billing companies have no clue at what they are doing except when it comes to taking 'their share':

A 'billing processors', we maybe currently or once did use, pull the same shit on us all the time. For months the pack of losers did this and I tried my hardest to dump the chumps (after many insulting e-mails) ... fortunately for them I do not own the company or they would be bigger shit stains sitting on the side of the road.

But it has nothing to do with their system ;(

Thats fucked up Heather.

First of all, it's not the processor, it is the bank.

The customer probably told the bank he had these charges from your site, but never used it or heard of it, whatever.

USA makes chargebacks wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too easy to do, it takes a simple 5 minutes.

The only thing you could do is contest it and prove he accessed the site, but is all that trouble worth it for $25-$50 ? Likely not, unless you really have nothing to do.

that sucks

That's fucked up, if you have user logs try to contest it :2 cents:

Heather Hamptons 01-28-2005 02:58 PM

Yeah I his initial payment back after his been a member for a month and a half?

Yeah it's not really worth contesting it. Call it a loss. It is fucked up though, that it's so each to chargeback. All you have to do is HINT about it and they rush you your money back.

Isn't that fraud though? To pay for a service, receive the service, then do a chargeback?

What's sad to me is that he charged back to get his measly $19.95. Wonder why having that little bit meant so much lol

Wouldn't take long to drop an email thanking them for the lame assed chargeback to a guy that had accessed the site for a month...

With a, "way to go IDIOT" as a closing..

I thought processor issues only refunds, chargebacks are issued by the credit card company....
